Questions and Answers

Randomness takes a break to celebrate!!

Have you passed up any chance lately that you now regret?
Yes. I could have nailed my last interview but I did not prepare for it. Everything was provided to me but I opted to do other things and did not prepare for the interview as I should have.

If you had no physical, financial, or other obstacles, what skill would you like to have?
To be able to train myself for fitness.

What have you tried lately that is new and exciting?
Driving. Nothing pushed me to learn until...

What makes you happiest and when you think about it you cannot help but smile?
Ahhh...I am thinking about it now and smiling - but cannot write it here.

What was the greatest adventure in your life so far?
Going on a cruise.

When you are old and look back on your life, what do you think will matter most to you?
The time I spent with family, friends and my unending love for my passion.

If you had enough money that you never needed to work again, what would you do with your time? Write, paint, learn a new language, travel.

If you could eat as much of one food as you wanted without ever getting full or fat, which food would you choose? Cheesecake!

If you could be granted one wish of any kind, what would it be?
Happiness for my son.

Q and A time

It's been a while I have not done any Q and A.

Fate or Free Will?
I believe FATE decides most of what happens to us. Free Will is nothing if it is not written in the stars.

Sneakers, Dress Shoes, Sandals?
Between sneakers and sandals. Never a dress shoe person.

Train, Car or Airplane?
Train. No need to drive, so relaxing.

City, suburbs or country life?
Suburbs. Best of both worlds. Not IN the city but nearby. Country life I like but may bore me later.

Winning the Lottery

While on the road and to keep hubby and I entertained we discuss a lot of nonsense.
The latest we had was "What will we do if we win the lottery?"
What changes are we going to have in our lives?
  • Sharing with family, close friends and charity was number 1.
  • Make sure to put aside a portion for emergencies.
  • Are we going to buy a new house? My answer was just to renovate, but the hubby said maybe we can get a new house where both of us will have a room for our "own things". I am all for that too!
  • Are we still going to work? Both of us said No. Quit our jobs but work as a volunteer or part time. Have more days to travel and enjoy other interests.
  • Are we going to buy a new car or purchase expensive things we have dreamed before? No.
The discussion kept our energy high.
And then we pulled over to buy our lottery ticket.

You never know. It is good to be ready.

Another Birthday

I have been on this earth for more than 50 years now. Time for some Q & A.

What have I learned about life?
That life goes on. No matter how sad or how happy the events that happen in our lives;  with people around us and even events that do not concern us at all. These things do not stop life from moving along. There is sunrise every morning, sunset every afternoon. Accept what life has to offer and keep in mind, a lot of the things we are worried about now - no longer matter in 5 to 10 years. There is nothing simpler than this - LIFE GOES ON.

What moves me?
In nature :  The color of fall/autumn, sunrise and sunset in summer, snow in winter.
Man made things : Empty chairs, lighthouses, cemeteries, street art, bikes, covered bridges.

What could I not give up?
Writing about anything that matters only to me.

What songs could I listen to over and over?
Boz Scaggs "Love Look What You've Done to Me", John Williams "I Want to Spend My Life With You", Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" and Phantom of the Opera's "All I Ask of You".
