Merrickville, Ontario : Main Street, Doors

Merrickville, Ontario
October 8-10, 2017

The doors of Merrickville's city street.
(And some quotes on doors)

The door will be opened to those who are bold enough to knock.

Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open.

Every wall is a door.

I have been waiting for that bright sunshine to show up and shine in my back door someday.

Merrickville, Ontario : Main Street, Windows

Merrickville, Ontario
October 8-10, 2017

First thing we did after checking in at the B & B is take a stroll in the city's main street. Just appreciating the windows. Decorated or not.

Minimalist

Reflecting windows.

Dressed windows.

Free-wheeling.

More interesting than any window or door.

September Fun

After all that December 2017 and holiday postings it is time to continue my 2017 randomness and chatter.

Mixed photos taken during the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2017.

The colorful, high and steep Scotiabank escalator.

Tickets and movies.

This is US.

Selfie inducing orchids at a hotel facade.

Lunch Stroll - 2

The lunch stroll I took on May 24 was along Yonge St. to MacPherson Ave.
Taking short side steps to Roxborough and snapping shots of the mini staircases along the lined residences.

Photo Wish

Some photos you take with no consideration for framing, angle, composition. You just click then go - hoping not to offend the person in the photo and also that it will turn out okay. This is one of those photos taken in a now forgotten street somewhere north of Ontario. I wish I had composed or framed the subject well. There was just no time.

But I still find the subject amusing though.

Creemore, Ontario

The village of Creemore (from Irish Croí Mór, meaning "big heart") lies approximately 130 kilometres (81 mi) north of Toronto and is a thriving village of 1,300 people. Our last stop before finally going back to Toronto after that short 4 day trip to Collingwood.
Fun things to see and photograph at Creemore's short but interesting Main Street.

It was a quite Tuesday.

Show window of this pretty little shop which has a lot of beautiful things for sale.

I did not even know this village is known for its beer.
Maybe someone wants to comeback.

And of course for some "photo me" time.

Orangeville Take 2 : Bikes

Orangeville deserved a take 2 after our quick visit during the first week of August. Fun town, fun people.

I was minding my own business just taking photos when this boy said "I'll show you my trick!". I said, "yeah why not - and you don't mind if I take a photo?" He said, "No - go ahead". And this is the result. He only did his trick once and I only took 1 photo. The result seems like he is biking on the stair tread. He was actually "jumping" with his bike.

Oh well, that set the day for my photos anyway.
Bikes on the wall.

Bikes on windows.

Blogger on bike.

A Taste of New England - 3

Wilmington, Vermont
It was not all chairs on our first day in Wilmington. There were a lot of other things to see and discover. Like pretty windows...

Photo Walk with Officemates - 2

For this set of photos from my latest Photo Walk with office mates, I am looking more UP!

Clock of one of the oldest Fire Halls in Toronto.

Building over building.

An old window "decor". Tools of the trade.

A city of windows and banners.

And them some ME.
