Move over John, James is here

I am a big John Grisham fan. I have read all of Grisham's legal fictions and have seen all the movies based on his books. When I finished Grisham's The Appeal, I was on the look-out for another author who can capture my interest.

Good thing I chanced upon this writer James Grippando. Another lawyer turned writer whose stories I find easy to follow. I am currently on my 3rd book by Grippando (Born to Run) and I am hooked.

Grippando's tandem of Jack Swyteck, a Miami criminal defense lawyer and his best friend ex-convict Theo Knight makes me laugh and makes me scared. Their adventures are likened to Hardy Boys but his time for a more mature reader. I sometimes imagine James Grippando laughing at his own jokes while writing his novels.

Some authors takes too long to describe, others lose me with back stories, and a few others just can't hold my interest - but this James - he won me over.

Move over John Grisham, James Grippando is my new guy.
