Playing with Oscar

Two more nights to the Academy Awards and we are playing.
Every year, Hubby, D and me pick our own Oscar winners. With our choices is a $5 bill. We watch the Oscars like it is the Super Bowl and whoever gets the most winners is $10 richer. Most of the time it goes to buy pizza on another movie night.

This is all in the spirit of fun, but choosing your winners can be daunting. It is a choice between who you feel should win, and who you think the Academy will choose.

Here goes my choices (in bold) and who the Academy might choose (major awards only) :

Best Picture :
Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Academy may choose: Slumdog Millionaire

Best Director :
David Fincher (Curious Case of Benjamin Button)
Academy may choose: Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire)

Best Actor :
Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon)
Academy may choose :Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler)

Best Actress
:
Kate Winslet (The Reader)
Academy may choose : Meryl Streep (Doubt)

Best Supporting Actor :
Heath Ledger (Dark Knight)
Academy may choose :Heath Ledger

Best Supporting Actress :
Taraji Henson (Benjamin Button)
Academy may choose : Taraji Henson (Benjamin Button)

Are you playing or will you be watching?
