On Aging (again)

My thoughts have been on aging lately. From my post On Aging, watching Benjamin Button, having lunch with a friend who turned 60, my recent birthday. There is just no escaping, aging is inevitable.

While having lunch with my friend I asked her "Are you excited? Retirement is near". She answered "No, I am not. I don't want to retire -- I will be bored. I will have nothing to do".

Ask me the same question and my answer is " I am excited. I cannot wait to retire. I have so many things to do". My schedule will be like :
  • Mondays - gardening
  • Tuesdays - bingo
  • Wednesdays - dancing
  • Thursdays - catch up on my readings or watch movies
  • Fridays - spend with my grandchildren (if ever)
  • Saturdays and Sundays - church days
It is still a long way towards retirement, I know -- but that is me. I have it all planned up. How about you -- have you any plans?
