Oh, so Pinoy

After spending Valentine’s day at a friend's home, this is how we typically end the night.
Each family has a “bring house” pack. Oh, so Pinoy.
Are you still Pinoy?

Thanks to TB for suggesting this post.

  1. O, yes! Even my hubby's sis-in-law who is 100% American does this to us whenever she hosts a family gathering. She even buys Ziploc Twist-n-loc disposable bowls just for the "baon" and... she pronounces it wrong(like ba-on! as in "buried")...na-Pinoy-ized na siya(lol).

  2. This reminded me of an incident a while ago. After preparing the "bringhouse" bags, some of us decided to stay longer to help Bob (the host) clean up. It was close to midnight, so we just wanted to get everything done and leave. Sus unsa man na, naa pa may nangabot. You should have seen our faces. It must have been so funny. I'll let you guess what happened to the "bring house" bags.

  3. T,
This Pinoy habit has really caught on!
    Au,
The bring house bags became "for here" (as in "for here to go"?)
Lesson: Once bring house bags are distributed. Get up and Go! (Joke only)
