Around 4 years ago, hubby fell for one of those sites that advertised free softwares. He received the softwares all right, but later also got a billing for the CDs. They were not free after all. He contested those bills but got tired after several phone calls and arguments. He just accepted he was duped.Well – well – well. A week ago we received a letter from the Federal Trade Commission of USA. Together with the letter was a cheque. Apparently, the USA-FTC filed a lawsuit against that company who “sold” us the software and won. The company was made to reimburse monies to duped “customers”.
