I love my plants - contrary to what the hubby and son say.
They may not be the expensive or rare ones -- but I do take care of them. However, some of my plants are getting older. They have seen better days. No matter what I do - water them, give them sunlight, place them under the shade, re-pot them -- nothing works. I wanted to just throw them all away. But an idea hit me . . .
Cut them and place them in a vase. They look good as cut leaves. Instant decor!
Hopefully, they will grow some roots and I can start planting them again. All is not lost for my plants -- and I am not a plant "killer" as hubby and son accuse me of. In fact, I am a "plant lover"!
Look how great your plants look in water!...so vibrantly green. You did the right thing, Em. If and when the plants start to wilt, replant them in soil (put a little fertilizer).I think the "cycle" theory will work. I've been doing that with my little "bamboo" leaves. It is indeed a therapy to love/care for the plants...mostly indoor plants for me.

Remember the time you gifted me with 5 bamboo plants bundled together? You said it meant wealth which was what you were wishing me, I guess. Question: Since they all died one by one, does this mean that I am never gonna be wealthy? ... ever?
ReplyDeleteYes, you may not be a "green thumb!" But you are definitely a plant lover. Keep it up! At least you're not like someone whom I personally know of, who is known to be a "plant killer" in their family. She lives just 2-hours away from where I live.
ReplyDeleteBtw, it's good to keep plants inside the house to generate fresh oxygen.

T of T,
ReplyDeleteYou are the one I know who has the green thumb.
Dang,
I can never forget the "How can you kill a bamboo?". Anyways, you are wealthy now.
Knappy,
Go and water the plants, quick!
I'll need help in this area.
ReplyDeleteAu,
ReplyDeleteGet some plants. Once they don't look good any more, get rid of them and get new ones. I think that is the better way to go. (or get the plastic ones). I also have some at home. Lesser maintenance.
Looks like the glass is not stable enough to hold the weight of the plant. Put some nice pebbles to stabilize your vase.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
ReplyDeleteThanks. Good observation. Will definitely add peebles.
