It is a love story, but it is not cheesy. It has violence, but it is not gory and bloody. It makes you laugh, but only because it is true. The movie, though small has garnered awards in several film bodies such as the British Independent Film Awards, Austin Film Award, LA Film Critics Association Awards, and a few more. And now, it has four Golden Globe nominations, including top drama, director, musical score and screenplay.
I am not a good movie critic and to do so here for Slumdog Millionaire would be an injustice to the movie. I would rather you read this link to get a better review of the movie.
My say: If you have a chance, go watch it. An added bonus: The musical score is really good, no matter what you think of East Indian music.

Paul A has been raving about this movie to everyone. I guess I should really see it.

Au,
ReplyDeleteYes, a definite must see! It is a small time production, so it might not be shown in big theatres.
