When Fiesta Becomes Siesta

Our Branch Christmas Party is a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea. Attending means shelling out my 2 weeks allowance of coffee to pay for my food. Not attending means keeping my money, but staying in the office until closing time, answering phones while everyone else is having fun. I chose to say goodbye to my $15.
This year's theme was Mexican Fiesta. There were Mexican entertainers, Mexican food, Mexican music, but where did fiesta go? Except when my boss danced (his signature dance), I had more siesta than a fiesta. (yawn, yawn, yawn)
It was not much fun but better than staying in the office and wondering.
(p.s. - winning a shirt woke me from my siesta)

  1. Your little boss danced??? I missed this?? Was it a performance or just what everyone was doing? Hey, you have two little bosses, do you mean the old one or the young one?

  3. Shoelaces,
I mean my very own little boss - the old one. The current director and the acting director pulled him to the floor, so he cannot refuse. La La Bamba.
    Why were you not there?

    Au,
The signature dance is called BOSS CANNOT DANCE. Simply, he cannot.

  4. Not even the Macarena? That's disappointing. But I'm sure everybody had a break from the daily grind. Ours will be this Wednesday. We're having a White Elephant gift exchange. I wonder what I'll end up with this year.
