Going Around Haliburton

The town of Haliburton is composed of Highland Street where the post office, a pharmacy, restaurants and some shops are located. Very quiet when we were there but surely must be busy during summer and fall.

Photo below taken in front of Castle Antiques - a must visit shop just to browse at things old and beautiful. The prices were reasonable though and the items were indeed unique. I almost caved in for a 3 tier high tea serving tray.

And of course, as in any other place we visit - there is always the "obligatory" food place to try out. This time, we tried Baked and Battered as suggested by the sales clerk in one of the shops.

We enjoyed our warm clam chowder, fried halibut with salad and coffee by the window overlooking Head Lake.
