Thousand Island Park, New York

Right after crossing the Thousand Island Bridge from Kingston, Ontario we made a quick turn towards Thousand Island Park   This place is located on the south-west tip of Wellesley Island in the heart of the Thousand Islands on the Saint Lawrence River. The park is sparsely filled with beautiful homes (summer vacation homes I assume). Some looks inhibited while others were protected/closed for winter.

What I found interesting in the place though was the huge empty pavilion that also served as boat wharf. It did not look abandoned and I wonder what activities happened here during the summer.

Love the gas machine in the middle of this nowhere.
