Good Food at GoodFellos

At the corner of Main St. and Gen. Smith Drive in Sackets Harbor is Goodfellos. A restaurant that offers Brick Oven Pizza  and Wines.

No regrets on trying out this place. We had an attentive server who seated us by the windows without us letting her, then gave us a run down of the menu. We started with the New England Clam Chowder. It was a bit on the thin side yet still creamy and so good.

The hubby had the Jeremiah pizza which had  a garlic base, mozzarella, provolone, oven roasted chicken, caramelized onions, caramelized cranberries, walnuts, bacon and feta topped with paprika ail.  I ordered the Penne Gorgonzola e Pollo which had sauteed chicken, fire roasted red peppers, prosciutto and basil tossed with penne in a creamy gorgonzola sauce and toppped with walnuts and crushed red pepper flakes. Both orders came hot, in time and delicious. One of our orders could have been enough for the two of us but it was too late to change our mind. We had a fill of both dishes yet had to brown bag half of the pizza.

While we were enjoying our hearty and delectable lunch, old jazz music was softly playing. There were other groups dining and it seemed everyone was satisfied with their meals. Goodfellos is really one good restaurant to try while at Sackets Harbor.
