The moment I got the e-mail requesting permission to use my photo - I was in cloud 9. I immediately did what needed to be done. YEY and double YEY!

This is a terrific composition that shows the benefit of a very selective focus. "If you choose to include too much in focus, the viewer gets confused about what to look at," says Toohey. Though the main bud is crystal clear, there are two other flowers hinted at in the out-of-focus background.
