Lessons Never Learned

An "assignment" of my favorite photography website was "Treasures". A lot of members posted photos of children, friends, families. Not wanting to post people pictures, I thought of some other items which I consider treasures.

For this assignment alone, I took more than 25 shots and not one of them I consider worthy to be submitted. My problems ranged from the set-up not conducive to the kind of shot I want; my reflection showing on the magnifying glass; blurred shots; to having too much light or none at all in some cases.

Here are 3 sample shots which I feel can stand more improvement.
Lessons learned (aka Note to Self) : Take time to conceptualize your shot, leave enough time to finish the shoot, experiment until you are satisfied.
Easier said than done.
