I Want What He Has

In our Condo's laundry room was a mom with her 2 small children. One was in the stroller and the moment they entered the other child was crying because she wanted to be in the stroller. Mom placed her in the stroller and carried the other one. Minutes later, the one in the stroller wanted to be out and to be carried. This went on for another cycle of "I want to be where he is" and the mom spoke to me saying "Oh, kids".

But it's not only kids who does this. In my workplace there is somebody who requests for any reference book that he notices other staff has. On seminars, he checks if he received the same "freebies" that you got.

It's cute when kids do the "I want what he has" tantrum - but when adults do it - what comes to your mind?

  1. i find it annoying. i always want to say, "get your own stuff." sounds rude, i suppose, but i hate being pestered by people who consistently refuse to do their own legwork and want someone else to "figure it all out" for them. i wonder if anyone can tell i've had a bad day?

How true, how true. I know what kind of people you mean - gosh, sometimes I wonder how they ever survive?

    Ting,
Have not advertised this blog to my co-worker. I want total writer's freedom.
