H E L P !

I need help! I have been trying to get back to a real good workout schedule. Trying, trying, trying.

In 2005 I woke up and started exercising and eating healthy like crazy. I lost significant weight during that year - to the point of changing my whole wardrobe. The year after, the workouts declined and the healthy habits went too! It has been like this for 3 years now -- I make workout schedules - and I follow for a few weeks, then I start getting lazy again.

I even had a few sessions with a personal trainer last year and I was good. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. to do an hour of weights, followed my cardio schedule and a healthy diet. I enjoyed the feeling after a good workout, liked how I felt with my clothes -- but regression came and I went back to my lazy days.

This year, I managed to take the treadmill daily for a few weeks, then stopped, then started again -- it is a rollercoaster ride. I am running out of ways to motivate myself, get me started, keep up the momentum. I am counting on the new kid in town to help me (see Deblogged).

Anyone has ideas?

  1. The doctor recommends walking a mile a day. I think this works because this was what I did and I lost some weight... until I got lazy. Perseverance, not the new kid on the block, will help you through. Good Luck!

  2. The problem is when laziness strikes. I can't help you in that aspect. That's my problem too. Kalidadis is right, it's perseverance that makes it a way of life...maybe, add determination.

  3. Set realistic goals. Focus on what you want to accomplish for yourself. Just remember that our skin is not as elastic as when we were younger. So if you decide to stay healthy/lose inches/lose weight in the future, what will happen to the skin that got stretched out. It's also expensive to maintain prescription pills. Shopping na lang ang ipalit ug tambal.
