Dental Appointment

Whenever I hear the words “Your dental appointment is next Saturday” – I always cringe at the thought. I don’t welcome the day with anticipation. Do you?

Don’t get me wrong – I have a good dentist – it’s the process I hate.

My mom wanted one of her daughters to take up Dentistry. Reason being that every person has 20 primary teeth and 32 permanent teeth – thus never running out of clients in your lifetime. I don’t know why no one heeded the advise. Me of course could not imagine myself looking at people’s mouth every day. It is too much torture for me. When I am on the dentist chair, I even wonder if the dentist can see my soul already. Whhrrr, ggrrrr, whhhrrr.

I salute these heroes who never get tired of looking, poking, studying our teeth. Such a "noble" profession, I don’t wonder if they take long vacations.

Finally, the visit is over and I am so and not looking forward to the next appointment.
So, when is yours?

  5. Au,
I don't think so. Hubby had it once. I had several teeth extracted at one time when I was in HS. Gosh! I need a change in subject.

  6. How about D's wisdom teeth? Have they been extracted yet? See, the dentist recommended that Cya's "wisdoms" get extracted two years ago so it won't cause any problems in the future. So we had it done then.

  8. I was surprised when this was mentioned. Di ba sa ato we deal with it ug nagbother na? Titing's wisdom teeth were all impacted. I wanted to spare her from what he went through. So in one visit, all 4 wisdom teeth were extracted.

yikees...I think I had mine pulled out a long time ago -- I have definitely buried that experience deep down in forgotten land.
