One day, a manager asked that I check one of the printers. It was a legitimate request not like the others. Seems like something was burning. I checked the printer, cords, outlets -- but could not find anything wrong. I could not even smell the burning on the printer, but definitely something smelled around it. I logged in a service request for a computer technician to come and check it. Next day, another manager requested I call building management as something was bothering staff in one corner of the floor.
Finally, after much pointing to the printer, investigations and phone calls - the culprit.
Yes, these lovely, innocent paper whites. A staff had them on her desk (behind the printer) but she was on vacation. These paper whites look so nice but they emit a different kind of smell. Have you ever seen and smelled them?
p.s. My heart went for these flowers as they got wrapped in a plastic bag to be thrown away. What way to live and die.
Oh no, they look so pretty to be thrown away! I pesonally haven't seen these kinds of flowers for real. did they really emit a burning smell?
ReplyDeleteNext time, settle for the rose. Thorny but sweet.
ReplyDeleteI think they are pungent as all "bulb" type plants and emit a strong scent like the onions do.

ReplyDeleteto everyone,
ReplyDeletethe smell is really bad, nobody in the office wanted it. I really felt bad and sad thinking how a flower could be so beautiful -- but then nobody wants. It got me thinking all day of so many things.
Mora diay ug "It's you they're talking about".
