My Wacky Wednesday

First, I dreamed I was late for work as I could not find my winter shoes. Well, I woke up and found out from the weather news that it is going to be very cold. Sure enough, I could not find my winter shoes. I was able to catch up with my bus anyway, lucky me ! But not for long. At the subway station, there was chaos. People were either standing confused, walking so fast, on their cellphones, or looked lost. I could barely hear the announcement of the PA while searching for my cellphone too. I wanted to take photos as we scramble for the bus that would take us to the next station. Alas, I did not have my camera with me! What luck.

Anyway, the bus ride was made interesting because of a little boy who kept asking his mom the Why question. Why are we stopping? Why are we standing? Why is there no subway? Why is there light? Why is there no light? Why is this different? It was amusing, until he started going back to Why are we stopping? Why are we standing...

The news said power shortage caused the subway shutdown. I hope it was not a staple wire (see posting "Unbelievable" below) that caused all that trouble for thousands of morning commuters. Day went by smoothly despite being late. Had to receive 100 boxes of delivery, print several copies of formatted letters for a meeting, scan a batch of documents to be sent for another meeting, go up and down the elevator to catch up on a document that needs to be reviewed and approved by the powers before noon, and answer a few nonsense queries from officemates in between (queries will be posted in another blog).

Going home time. Had to wait for 30 minutes for my bus. T'was cold, snowing, freezing. Wanted to draft my blog but my hands were covered with my gloves. Thought of how the day went. Wished for a hot bowl soup for dinner. Arrived home. Nobody's home. Reheat soup while searched for winter shoes again. I hope to dream of lottery numbers tonight.
