The Met Cloisters - Cuxa Cloisters

The Met Cloisters, NYC
March 31, 2018

The Met Cloisters has 3 cloisters (a covered walk in a convent, monastery, college, or cathedral typically with a wall on one side and a colonnade open to a quadrangle on the other).

We spent longer time at the Cuxa Cloisters. The columns in this cloister were sourced from the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa on Mount Canigou, in the northeast French Pyrenees, which was founded in 878. (Source : Wikipedia).
