Around the Adirondacks

Much as the Adirondack Park had been in my bucket list for a long time- I admit, I came unprepared in terms of time and research. It is so much different when you arrive.

There is so much to do, so large an area to cover. One can get overwhelmed just by the grandeur and size. The photos here were taken just around the Northern Area and High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Barely scratching one of the 7 regions of this huge park.
The park actually covers some 48,438 sq. kms. of land and is almost the size of  Vermont.  For the Ontarians, the park is 3x the size of our Algonquin Park (or 3x the size of Region 7 of the Philippines).

We wished we had time to sit and enjoy its beauty,

to hike or to camp maybe,

or even drive up to any of the 46 high peaks.

Enough of regrets, we still enjoyed this nature's heaven.
