Some interesting events in Toronto this May.
May 1 -31 CONTACT Photography Festival 2010. This year's theme is "Pervasive Influence".
CONTACT is said to be the largest photography event in the world with over 1000 artists showing their work in 200 venues across the Greater Toronto Area in both typical spaces like galleries and museums and unexpected places ranging like the Pearson International Airport.
Frankly, I have not been to any of the exhibitions in the past years - but this may be the year I will start. Their website is not very understandable to the amateur but any one interested can try checking it out. http://www.scotiabankcontactphoto.com/
Henry's Photographic and Digital Show is on May 14-16 at the International Centre in Mississauga. Lots of free seminars, vendors and photo gadgets. Something for every photographer - professional, amateur, and the curious. Click here for more info.
Doors Open Toronto - May 29 and 30. Buildings of architectural, historic, cultural and/or social significance open their doors to the public. Admission is FREE. Something I look forward to. Check out Doors Open 2010.
See you then!
