Some movies that are making me excited over the holiday season.
Fantastic Mr. Fox - Voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Bill Murray based on the book by Roald Dahl. A crafty fox must outwit his farmer neighbours to ensure his and his brood's safety. I have always liked Dahl's books. Currently showing.
New York I Love You - Shia LaBeouf and Natalie Portman. Anthology of love stories set in New York. I am sure the hubby will drag me to watch this. Opens Nov. 27
The Lovely Bones - Rachel Weisz, Mark Wahlberg stars. Actually, I have no plans of watching this after reading the book. I still don't understand why Peter Jackson wanted to make this film. But then, look what he did to KingKong. Opens Dec. 25
It's Complicated - Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. Another hubby kind of movie - but this one I seem to agree. Opens Dec. 25
And finally, my most awaited - Sherlock Holmes. How can I go wrong with Robert Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams and Jude Law?
Also opening on Dec. 25 is the Imaginaruim of Dr. Parnassus. A must see.
Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire. Uhhmm. Maybe not. I'm not into strong social issues specially during the holiday season. This movie though is a strong contender for the Oscars next year. Currently showing.
And when all shopping is done, who knows, I just might watch New Moon.
See you at the movies!
Hmmm..last movie I saw was Ponyo..animation. Will check some of this out..Thanks.
