My oldest stamp, not Canadian but Newfoundland.
This stamp was part of the Royal family issue, popularly referred to as the ‘
Royal Portraits’.
Prince Edward is featured in this
1⁄2 cent stamp and was one of the eight stamps issued to honour the 60-year reign of Queen Victoria.
Issued starting
August 1898, the "Royal Portraits" remained in use until 1918.
If this particular one belonged to the first batch, this stamp might already be
111 years old.
Why don't you make a teaser at ebay. You might be a millionaire and you don't know it.
