Hubby (I mean we) bought a new camera last Christmas. Hubby's justification was he cannot use the one we have as I always have it (specially when I started blogging). Ever since I can remember, he has always wanted a nice camera - but we never got one. I just cannot validate the purchase - until now.
Hubby's new camera is a Nikon D60 SLR camera. Still not the best, but good enough as a start. He can tell you all the good things this camera can do, close-ups, portraits, focus and all that - things I couldn't care about. No offense meant to this wonderful camera which I still have to see the products, but...
I am happy with my Sony Cybershot. I bring it with me anywhere I go. It fits in any of my bags or purses. I can take pictures, anytime, anywhere. It's all point, shoot and off I go.
Glad to know most of my female friends feel this way. Most (if not all) of the husbands are so camera crazy. They all have this kind of expensive, heavy, bulky, high tech cameras that takes more than a minute to take that picture. We wives are so content with our pocket digital cameras. We have better things to do than fiddle with those lenses and what-nots. Besides, life passes by so quickly, it cannot wait and pose until your cameras are ready.
But in fairness, our portraits do look good when taken from those high end cameras. Well, it should! It took more than 30 minutes to set everything up -- it almost ruined our make-up. LOL.
We have a Canon EOS 450D and a sony cybershot as well, I must admit, when we bought the slr i thought we'll never use the sony again but then, the slr is too bulky to take everywhere, the convenience the point and shoot cams give is priceless, I love both of them!
