E is for Emergencies
Being ready for an emergency is a reminder not to be overlooked. Not big time emergencies - but also minor ones that takes much of your time. As mentioned in my previous posts, I am a commuter. TTC is my better way. But delays do happen in the TTC ever so often it is getting to be normal.
1) Have something with you to read. I always have a section of the daily newspaper with me whenever I am in the subway. I may not play Suduko -- but there is always something in there that will entertain me.
2) Have pen and paper always in your purse, pocket, bag, wherever. You will never know when an idea will hit and you and you just need to write down keywords.
3) Have a piece of candy always in your purse.
One time, a TTC emergency took my usual 45 minute ride to 2.5 hours.
Good thing I was ready. Would you have been ready?
