After grocery hopping in the morning, hubby became Jaime Oliver and cooked all afternoon. This Randomness menu:
- Arroz caldo (chicken porridge?) for sick son. After all the holiday chaos, the body sometimes gives up -- D's body.
- Salmon head siningang (soup) specially for me. Hubby does not like salmon -- but I love them. I don't know how to make good sinigang, but hubby does -- so he makes a big pot for me. Enough for a few servings.
- Banana blossom salad. Yummy. Perfect pair to my sinigang.
- Sauteed ampalaya with eggs.
- Eggplant with bacon bits and eggs.
- Sauteed mongo sprouts with chicken breasts.
- Grilled salmon. Grilled grouper.
- Mushroom with turkey breast (holiday left overs).
- Finally, chicken cordon bleu.
Ahhmm, what was your order again?
p.s. In between cooking, we had avocado con macapuno with soy milk. Healthy, eh?

ReplyDeleteWhat an appropiate topic! Today, I had to call-in sick coz my right ankle has been painfully swollen since yesterday pm. I went to a walk-in clinic and after ruling out arthritis(thru in-clinic xray), I was preliminarily diagnosed of having GOUT symptoms(to be confirmed thru blood test, w/c will take a couple of days)...ouch! ...quite a revelation of what I have been eating over the holidays...tanan nga bawal); enjoy your food, Em, mentras wala ka pa'y "bawal" (-: imong amiga sa Tampa
