Engineer

Received an e-mail from a friend recently.

Her signature line had "Engineer" before her name.Upon seeing that, memories flooded me. A long time ago I was a student, doing everything to gain that title before my name. I made it. I was proud. I used the knowledge and the title to land a good job.

Even if I am no longer doing the same job, I feel I owe what I have now from that title I worked so hard to attach to my name.

Engineer. It sounds so good while it lasted.
